ABOUT US


Simply Guitars is a small family run business based in Hampshire, UK.


We import our own range of guitars for sale primarily in the UK but also throughout Europe and the rest of the world.  These guitars are branded under the name Hodson Guitars.


The main portion of our business runs through our Ebay store and via telephone orders but in 2011 we will also be providing the facility to purchase direct from our website at www.hodsonguitars.co.uk.


All guitars for sale are new and although we may occasionally have second hand equipment available for sale this will always be clearly marked as used.




PRIVACY POLICY


This privacy policy applies to all transactions conducted with Simply Guitars.


All information that is provided to Simply Guitars is to allow the purchase and delivery of our products only.


The information that we request includes your name, address, email address and telephone number.  This information will be passed to Parcelforce in order to secure delivery of your item. 


All our payment transactions are handled through PayPal. Our clients may use their PayPal account to send us money in the traditional way.  Alternatively any website or telephone orders will be processed via PayPal Merchant Services.  We will request your credit or debit card details which will be processed through PayPal.


In order to protect our customers, absolutely no customer information regarding the transactions are stored locally at our offices, all information is held within Ebay and PayPal on line only.


We will not sell or rent your personal information to any third party for any purpose.


All communication from Simply Guitars will be primarily via email or through EBay messages.  If there are any complications with your order, or in order to clarify a detail speedily we may contact you by telephone.

DELIVERY POLICY


All deliveries will be handled via Parcelforce. 


For all UK orders received before 1pm we aim to dispatch the goods for delivery the next day.


For all non-UK orders received before 1pm we aim to dispatch the goods for delivery that day but delivery times will be dependent on the customer’s location. 


For orders received on a Friday we will aim to dispatch the goods on the following Monday (or the next working day in the case of a Bank Holiday). This is to prevent goods waiting at depots over a weekend which may increase the risk of loss or damage.


Once the item is dispatched the customer should expect to receive confirmation of the Parcelforce Tracking number either via EBay or email.


All costs are determined on weight of the item and location of delivery address. Postage costs will always be advised to the customer in advance of confirmation of the purchase.


We are happy to provide estimates of cost and delivery times ahead of purchase.





RETURN & CANCELLATION POLICY


Our return policy applies to all purchases made from Simply Guitars, whether the item is new or used.


We make every effort to ensure that the item reaches you in perfect condition but in the unlikely event that you are not satisfied we operate the following returns policy;


  1. Refunds can only be made by the method originally used to pay for the goods.


  1. Credit/debit card refunds will be processed immediately and normally take 3-5 working days to show on the customer's account.


  1. Goods that have been altered from their original condition in any way cannot be returned.


  1. Goods cannot be returned as faulty where a specific defect in the product was brought to the attention of the customer at the point of sale.



Changing Your Mind

  1. In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, any goods can be returned for any reason within 7 working days for a refund, less carriage costs.


  1. Returned goods must be in their original condition and packaging.  If any attempt has been made to modify or alter the item the return policy will not apply.


  1. If you decide that you do not wish to keep an item you can either return it to us yourself, or contact us and we will arrange collection on your behalf.  We would always advise that you contact us before returning an item to see if we are able to resolve your issue and to provide clear return instructions.


  1. The average cost for a collection is £50 which includes a restocking fee.


  1. While in possession of the items you are under a statutory duty (Distance Selling Regulations) to take ‘reasonable care’ of them. This entitles you to open the box to inspect the contents, and try out the product in a way that would be considered reasonable within a shop environment. We reserve the right to take action under the Distance Selling Regulations if reasonable care is not taken
